Miyawaki Forest at Longfellow Creek

For my senior project for the Community, Environment, and Planning major at the University of Washington, I led the creation of a Miyawaki Forest in Delridge, Seattle. Using this dense, native-planting method, I worked with the Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association and over 60 volunteers to transform a small urban space into a thriving pocket forest. The project focused on ecological restoration, community engagement, and reintroducing biodiversity.
